Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs offers an Electrical Engineering Intern position at our Cleveland, OH plants. You will work with engineering and maintenance teams on real projects and gain hands-on experience in predictive maintenance, design, and reliability improvements.

The role requires enrollment in a BS in Electrical Engineering and completion of sophomore year by summer 2027, with eligibility to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in BS program in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Completion of at least sophomore year by Summer 2027.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and emergency maintenance of equipment.
• Research, design, evaluate, install, modernize, and repair machinery and equipment.
• Resolve equipment malfunctions, including during scheduled shutdowns.
• Participate in planning, scheduling, and cost control of maintenance/engineering projects.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and reports.
• Analyze operating performance and SOPs to recommend improvements.
• Support various projects to assist the business.
