Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern in Dearborn, MI. You will work with engineering and maintenance teams on predictive, preventative, and emergency maintenance, and contribute to the design, evaluation, and modernization of machinery.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, interpreting technical drawings, analyzing operating performance, and supporting cost-controlled maintenance projects.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related technical degree.
• Completion of at least sophomore year of study by the summer of 2027.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Perform predictive, preventative, and emergency maintenance of equipment.
• Research, design, evaluate, install, modernize, redesign, operate, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment.
• Resolve equipment malfunctions, including those requiring scheduled shutdowns or breakdown action.
• Participate in planning, scheduling, and cost control of maintenance/engineering projects.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and reports.
• Analyze current operating performance and SOPs; make improvement recommendations.
• Support various other projects as needed to assist the business.
