Job summary

Andersen Corporation is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to learn and contribute within our Engineering organization. You will support manufacturing facilities, improve machine control systems, and assist with PLC, HMI, sensor, and automation troubleshooting while gaining practical experience in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with a minimum 3.0 GPA preferred.
• Fundamental knowledge of electrical circuits, controls, and manufacturing systems.
• Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical, Visio or similar tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office apps.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical and controls projects in manufacturing facilities.
• Update machine control systems to improve performance and reliability.
• Assist PLC, HMI, sensor, and automation troubleshooting activities.
• Analyze downtime and implement efficiency improvements.
• Help develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and docs.
• Create SOPs and engineering work instructions.
• Participate in process mapping and continuous improvement.
• Collect and interpret manufacturing data for decisions.
• Support installation, startup, testing, and validation activities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive results.
