L3Harris is seeking an Intern, Electrical Engineering in San Diego to learn design and development of electrical systems for aircraft and ground stations. You will create wiring diagrams, panels, and other items using CAD and PLM tools, coordinating with Systems Engineering and Manufacturing to meet requirements at minimum cost.

Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.

Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked, and have every other Friday off

Job Description:

In this role, you will learn to design and develop electrical systems for the integration of electrical/electronic equipment on military/commercial aircraft and ground stations. Electrical Engineers have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of tasks and aircraft systems on numerous aircraft platforms.

Essential Functions:

• Create system wiring diagrams, circuit breaker panels, control panels and other items using CAD (Computer Aided Design) tool

• Research and preparation of engineering drawings, and coordination of design activities with Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production to ensure that designs meet requirements at minimum cost

• Designs can include development of Avionics Systems, RF, LAN, Data Processing, Power Distribution Systems, Electrical Loads analysis, Load shedding scheme to name a few, along with the opportunity to support testing and integration of systems on the aircraft

Qualifications:

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, a Master’s degree or a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Science degree or related technical degree at an accredited university.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Skills/Knowledge of with CAD and PLM software, including NX and Teamcenter

• Knowledge of Siemens Capital software

• In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California is $32.50 -$39.50. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including relocation stipend, 401(k), EAP, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
