Job summary

DHE is seeking electrical engineering interns to join our Grand Rapids or Kalamazoo offices as part of a multi-disciplinary design team. You should be pursuing a bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with a power/lighting emphasis and enjoy learning new software.

Compensation will range from $15–$25/hour, based on experience, with opportunities for growth and potential for permanent hire after graduation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a 4-year B.S. in Electrical or Architectural Engineering (power/lighting).
• Licensure path: eligible for professional engineering licensure after required experience.
• Familiar with AutoCAD and Revit; MS Office; SKM PowerTools and COMcheck.

Role and Responsibilities

DHE is looking for full or part-time electrical engineering interns to work as part of an integrated, multi-disciplined design team in our Grand Rapids or Kalamazoo, Michigan offices.
Candidates should currently be in pursuit of a degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering (with a power and/or lighting emphasis). Familiarity with AutoCad, Revit, Word, and Excel would be helpful, but our team of experienced staff expects to work closely with the selected candidate(s) to grow in proficiency using these and a number of other field related software (ie. SKM Powertools, Visual 3D, or COMcheck). Candidates therefore must be excited to learn, detailed, organized, personable, and driven to grow in knowledge and experience. DHEA has a strong history of maintaining repeat internships and permanently hiring interns upon graduation. Compensation will vary based on experience but typically ranges from $15-$25/hour.

Qualifications

• Actively in pursuit of a 4-year Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering (with a power and/or lighting emphasis).


• School accreditations are appropriate for obtaining professional engineering licensure after required experience.


• Fluent in AutoCAD and/or Revit as well as Microsoft Office Suite, SKM Power Tools, COMcheck, LEED, and/or pursuing commissioning credentials are a plus.
