Job summary

Stratus is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to support engineers with day-to-day project tasks, electrical design development, drawing updates, redlines, and project documentation. You will gain hands-on exposure to electrical design principles, industry standards, multidisciplinary coordination, and mentorship from experienced professionals.

You will learn to use AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office to support deliverables, and you will participate in learning opportunities

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Completion of relevant engineering or technical coursework.
• Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles.
• Basic proficiency with AutoCAD or Revit and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with electrical drawings, calculations, reports, research, and other project documentation.
• Utilize AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and other applicable 2D/3D design software to support project deliverables.
• Assist with internal process improvements, engineering tools, templates, standards, and other department initiatives.

Job Summary

As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will support engineers and designers with day-to-day project tasks and engineering activities, assisting with electrical design development, drawing updates, redlines, and general project documentation. You will gain hands-on exposure to electrical design principles, technical software, industry standards, multidisciplinary coordination, and project delivery. Throughout the internship, you will contribute to active assignments while receiving guidance, feedback, and mentorship from experienced professionals.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with electrical drawings, calculations, reports, research, and other project documentation.
• Utilize AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and other applicable 2D/3D design software to support project deliverables.
• Assist with internal process improvements, engineering tools, templates, standards, and other department initiatives

What You’ll Learn

• An understanding of practical electrical engineering applications through exposure to active design and construction projects.
• How electrical engineering principles, design tools, codes, and technical standards are applied to real projects.
• How multiple disciplines collaborate throughout the design and project delivery process.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Completion of relevant engineering or technical coursework.
• Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles.
• Basic proficiency with AutoCAD or Revit and Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred

• Internship or co-op experience in electrical design.
• Familiarity with electrical load calculation software.
• Involvement in IEEE or related professional organizations.
