Job summary

Stratus is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to support engineers and designers on site development, transportation, utility, grading, and drainage projects. You will gain hands-on exposure to civil design tools, technical documentation, field conditions, and multidisciplinary coordination under experienced professionals.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Completion of relevant engineering, design, or technical coursework.
• Basic understanding of civil engineering principles.
• Basic proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar design software and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with civil drawings, calculations, reports, data collection, and other project documentation.
• Support grading, drainage, utility, roadway, and site layout design and coordination.
• Participate in project meetings, site visits, field observations, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Job Summary

As a Civil Engineering Intern, you will support engineers and designers working on site development, transportation, utility, grading, and drainage projects. You will gain hands‑on exposure to civil design tools, technical documentation, field conditions, multidisciplinary coordination, and project delivery while contributing to active assignments with guidance from experienced professionals.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with civil drawings, calculations, reports, data collection, and other project documentation.
• Support grading, drainage, utility, roadway, and site layout design and coordination.
• Participate in project meetings, site visits, field observations, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

What You’ll Learn

• How civil engineering principles, design tools, codes, and technical standards are applied to real projects.
• How site plans, calculations, reports, and construction documents are developed and reviewed.
• How civil engineers coordinate with survey, structural, environmental, architectural, and other project disciplines.

Qualifications

Required

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Completion of relevant engineering, design, or technical coursework.
• Basic understanding of civil engineering principles.
• Basic proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar design software and Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred

• Internship, co‑op, or project experience related to civil engineering.
• Familiarity with grading, drainage, utilities, transportation, or site development concepts.
• Involvement in ASCE or related engineering organizations.
