Job summary

CRW Engineering Group, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in Anchorage, Alaska.

The paid, full-term internship supports electrical projects, calculations, reports, drawings, and manuals, with field work across Alaska. You will assist with project organization, filing, and general operations while gaining hands-on experience in a multidiscipline firm that serves federal, state, tribal, and private clients.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering student in good standing, final year at ABET-accredited program.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; AutoCAD and Revit are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical projects by preparing calculations, reports, specs, drawings, and manuals.
• Travel to Anchorage area and Alaska sites for field documentation and concept drawings.
• Assist with project organization, filing, archiving, and file coordination.
• Provide general operations support including event and resource coordination.

CRW Engineering Group, Inc (CRW) is currently seeking candidates for a full-time, paid Electrical Engineering Internship in Anchorage, Alaska, for summer of 2027.

CRW is a growing multidiscipline engineering and surveying firm with offices in Anchorage and Palmer, AK and Olympia, WA. Our staff of over 85 professionals provides planning, design, and construction support services for federal, state, municipal, tribal, and private clients on projects in Alaska and the Pacific Northwest. Our in-house multi-discipline services include mechanical, structural, civil, electrical, and environmental engineering; construction management; planning; permitting; public involvement; GIS; and land surveying. We’ve been helping build better communities in Alaska for over 45 years.

Primary Responsibilities

• Project support for electrical projects, including assisting with the completion of calculations, reports, specifications, drawings, and manuals.
• Project site support could include travel to locations in the greater Anchorage area and throughout Alaska in rural and urban areas, documenting field conditions with photographs, generating concept-level drawings/designs.
• Project organization support, including filing, archiving, and general file coordination.
• General operations assistance, including as-needed event and project coordination, equipment maintenance, and resource management support.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience

• Shall be an electrical engineering student, in good academic standing, and enrolled in their final year at an ABET accredited engineering program.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Working knowledge with the Microsoft Office suite. Experience in AutoCAD and Revit is a plus.

• Accuracy, thoroughness, and timeliness.
• Hardworking, positive can-do attitude, and career oriented.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week.
• Ability to travel to various project sites.
• Ability to access and navigate job sites and construction areas.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
