Job summary

GLHN Architects & Engineers, Inc. invites a detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our Phoenix, Arizona office.

You will design electrical systems for power distribution, lighting, grounding, and specialty systems under a licensed PE, using Revit and AutoCAD, and collaborate across architecture, structural, mechanical, and civil disciplines. The role involves field investigations, site assessments, and contributing to construction documents and project documentation in line with GLHN

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum of three years designing building electrical systems.
• Experience performing electrical engineering calculations and preparing construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical design drawings, layouts, schematics, and single-line diagrams using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Develop electrical designs for power distribution, lighting, grounding, and specialty electrical systems under the direction of a licensed Professional Engineer.
• Coordinate electrical designs with architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and civil disciplines.
• Participate in project planning, design reviews, and multidisciplinary coordination meetings.
• Perform field investigations, site assessments, and existing-condition evaluations.
• Assist in developing construction documents and maintaining project documentation in accordance with GLHN quality standards.

This position is for our Phoenix, Arizona office.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a closely related engineering field.
• Minimum of three years of experience designing building electrical systems.
• Experience performing electrical engineering calculations and preparing construction documents.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SKM Power*Tools, ETAP, AGi32, or similar electrical engineering software.
• Experience with healthcare, higher education, laboratory, municipal, industrial, or water/wastewater facilities.
• Experience performing field investigations and supporting construction-phase services.
