ABB in Greenville, SC, is seeking a Co‑Op in the motor research group to gain hands-on experience in electric motor testing, controls design, and data analysis. You will work on emerging technologies, prototypes, and innovative test setups while developing advanced control systems and correlating test data.

Eligible interns must be enrolled in a US bachelor’s program, have reliable transportation, and be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with electric motor testing and experimental setups.
  • Support controls design and assembly activities.

  • Aid drive tuning and motor design efforts.

Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your skills by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.The work model for the role is onsite in Greenville, South Carolina.Please note that no relocation assistance or stipend will be offered for this position. Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the office location. Candidates are expected to manage their own commuting arrangements.This position is a part of our motor research group and works to aid in electric motor research and development on emerging technologies, prototypes, and unconventional test setups.
