• Support production and field service as needed (travel ~10% or less).
• Will start with CI projects to learn the machines before deeper project work.
• Expected to help clean up numerous inherited bad designs; lots of redesign + sustaining work.
• New major project: Brand new road mill requiring full electrical + software design.

Tools & Software

• Uses: SolidWorks Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN (ideal; big advantage if they can move Astec to EPLAN).
• Open to candidates who use different electrical CAD tools if fundamentals are strong.

Experience & Must Haves

• 5+ years experience (mid tier or higher).
• Must understand industrial electrical systems beyond circuit boards — plant automation, robotics, machinery are all relevant.
• Must have 24V DC experience (motors, pumps, actuators, sensors).
• One hardware hire MUST have AC power experience (not necessarily VFD programming, but must know how to design for AC loads).
• Strong attention to detail and disciplined engineering approach.
• 4 year engineering degree required (from a university — not UTC).
