Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories in the United States is seeking an experienced R&D Electrical Compatibility engineer to advance weapon-system compatibility across delivery platforms. You will work with a multidisciplinary team on test plan development, lab testing, and analytical tool development to contribute to mission-critical projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating ability to perform independent R&D work.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Define and document comprehensive technical strategies to ensure weapon system compatibility with delivery platforms, applying test, demonstration, inspection, and analysis methodologies.
• Collaborate across weapon systems organizations to maintain traceability to overarching systems engineering efforts such as weapon qualification and certification.
• Support large-scale cross-agency electrical test campaigns.
• Expand the Compatibility Engineering knowledge base by developing and maintaining training materials, coordinating lab tours and workshops, staying current with novel tools and practices.
