Job Description

ProSidian Seeks an Electrical Engineer – Utilities | Electrical Systems Engineering & Facility Power Design [PCBOCC0029028] for program support on a exempt 1099 contract basis, located within CONUS - Pasco County, supporting the Southeast region. The role involves enhancing performance, resilience, and sustainability of water, wastewater, and reclaimed water systems through engineering, planning, environmental, and digital transformation services.

We are seeking candidates with relevant experience in Energy, Sustainability & Infrastructure Sector, including functional and technical expertise, to support professional services for clients such as PCBOCC. This position is a Technical Element or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) role in Electrical Systems Engineering & Facility Power Design. ProSidian reserves the right to convert this contract to a full-time W-2 position.

JOB OVERVIEW

Provide services in SCADA, Electrical, and Instrumentation/Controls as an Electrical Engineer – Utilities in the Energy, Sustainability & Infrastructure industry sector, focusing on environmental solutions for clients such as Pasco County Utilities, generally located in CONUS - Pasco County and across the Southeast region.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Design, inspect, and optimize power systems for treatment plants and utility infrastructure.
  • Support electrical components for SCADA, pumps, VFDs, lighting, and standby power systems.
  • Conduct system studies, load analysis, and energy efficiency evaluations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; PE license preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • 5–8 years in utility or industrial electrical systems design and commissioning.

Skills Required

  • Power system modeling, panel design, NEC/NFPA standards, AutoCAD Electrical.

Core Competencies

  • Detail orientation, electrical safety knowledge, troubleshooting, energy planning.

Additional Role Details

  • Assist in integrating renewable energy or backup systems into utility infrastructure.
  • Support capital project planning and electrical equipment procurement.

Other Details

  • Collaborate with SCADA, I&C, and O&M teams to support reliable power delivery.
