What You'll Be Doing

  1. Perform work safely in accordance with company and regulatory standards. Ensure others do the same.
  2. Assist in preparing feasibility studies, including cost estimates for CapEx planning.
  3. Provide electrical technical expertise under the direction of the Senior Project Manager.
  4. Prepare power system studies such as arc flash hazard analysis.
  5. Assist in overseeing projects, developing plans, estimating costs, and monitoring progress.
  6. Help prepare electrical specs and scopes for bidding, support bid evaluation, and monitor vendor performance.
  7. Direct contractors' electrical activities, support negotiations, verify invoices, and ensure compliance during commissioning.

What Are We Looking For

  1. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or electrical technology.
  2. Understanding of the principles and practices of the National Electrical Code and electrical engineering concepts.
  3. Solid computer skills; familiarity with SKM, ETAP, and EasyPower is a plus.
  4. Knowledge of Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6 scheduling software is preferred.
  5. Strong organizational and communication skills to lead and coordinate project teams.
  6. Willingness to travel up to 15%, with extended site visits during start-up and commissioning.

Work Environment

  1. Role operates primarily in an office setting but will also operate in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions as dictated by project requirements.
  2. Must be able to occasionally climb stairs, walk on uneven surfaces, and enter confined spaces.
  3. Exposure to a variety of engineering projects and challenges.
