Job summary

Mainstream Engineering Corporation is seeking an Electrical Engineer to bridge design and manufacturing, developing thermal control and energy conversion test hardware, from prototype to production. You will design PCBs, program controllers, build test fixtures, and create data acquisition systems with Python, LabVIEW, PLC, Visual Studio, and C/C++ in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or AAS in Electrical Engineering Technology with relevant industry experience.
• Internship experience required for entry level candidates.
• Hands-on with test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, etc.).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills.
• Good technical documentation and communication skills.
• Knowledge of components, power supplies, and NEC basics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and fabricate test fixtures for development, qualification, and production.
• Collaborate to design for testability and transition to manufacturing.
• Design, lay out, assemble, and test PCBs for various applications.
• Develop data acquisition systems, automated tests, and GUIs with Python, LabVIEW, PLC, Visual Studio, and/or C/C++.
• Program microcontrollers to interface with peripherals and protocols.
• Mechanical integration and fabrication of custom fixtures.
