Job summary

ISG in North Olmsted, OH is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead equipment selection and procurement for substation projects, collaborating with engineering, design, and project teams. This role focuses on coordinating complex electrical equipment from concept through construction, supporting FirstEnergy projects within ISG’s Power Group.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required.
• Resident near Cleveland, OH area preferred.
• BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university required.
• 1+ years of engineering design, substation engineering, or related experience.
• Knowledge of electrical substations and NEC preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Office and Windows skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Demonstrated integrity, accountability and sound judgment.
• Ability to prioritize, take initiative and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Collaborative mindset to support project goals.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data, specs, and requirements to select equipment for substation projects.
• Serve as liaison between engineering teams and vendors for equipment specs.
• Manage equipment procurement, track orders, and ensure delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with engineering, design, and project delivery teams for integration.
• Maintain organized project docs and equipment records.
• Participate in team meetings to share updates and improvements.
• Contribute to quality deliverables, schedules, and budget adherence.
