Job summary

Chemours in Corpus Christi, TX, is seeking an Electrical Engineer Co-op to gain hands-on experience in a chemical manufacturing setting. You will work with experienced engineers on improvement projects, support operations and maintenance, and participate in process safety activities.

Enrollment as a junior or above in Electrical Engineering and familiarity with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required; GPA 3.2+ preferred. This is a full-time 40-hour weekly co-op with potential for more terms.

Qualifications

• Enrolled as a junior or higher in an accredited college; pursuing an undergraduate Electrical Engineering degree.
• GPA 3.2 or above preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Work with experienced engineering professionals on improvement and expansion projects.
• Assist operations and maintenance with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem solving.
• Participate in process safety management activities and reviews.
• Contribute to team meetings and conference calls.
• Further development of Process Technology.

This position will report directly to the Corpus Christi site co-op coordinator.As an Electrical Engineer Co-op, you will work closely with the manufacturing technology team gaining valuable experience through hands-on projects in a chemical plant. You will have exposure to real-time engineering work alongside other engineers to apply what you’ve learned in the classroom.Effective engineering co-ops will have the ability to communicate with impact, have strong self-awareness, and will be naturally inquisitive.Location: Corpus Christi, TXHours: Regular full-time schedule of 40 hours per weekPreferred First Term: Spring 2027Candidates must be able to commit to at least a total of six (6) months as a co-op.
