Quiddity is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer-in-Training to assist with design calculations, option research, and technical reporting under experienced engineers in Texas. You will gain exposure to permitting, CAD drafting, and construction drawings while developing leadership and mentorship from senior staff.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and FE eligibility to advance the EIT designation within 12 months of hire.

As a part of the Quiddity team, your work will make a difference. Our EITs have the opportunity to assist with the design and management of a variety of engineering projects that have an electrical component. As part of our team, you will learn leadership skills from experienced engineers who will provide both mentorship and guidance.

• Performs a variety of clearly defined assignments that require the application of standard engineering concepts, practices and techniques. Using prescribed methods, applies techniques to specific electrical engineering projects: this includes technical work like design calculations, researching design options, writing and reviewing technical reports, cost estimates, schedules, CAD drafting and arranging permitting requirements.
• Reviews work for discrepancies or inconsistencies, adjusts and correlates data, and follows operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes to completion under the guidance of an experienced engineer.
• Supports mid and senior level engineers to provide construction drawings including electrical site plans, one-line diagrams, conduit schedules and other related electrical equipment installation details.
• Undertakes basic research on engineering conditions and laws and permitting organizations such as City, State and County officials to develop knowledge of permitting process and the application of codes to engineering assignments.
• Assists with the preparation of documentation including plans, maps, drawings, reports, data spreadsheets, specifications, supporting documents and permit applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering or science field.
• FE required to advance Engineer-In-Training designation - must be completed within 12 months of hire date.
• Valid TX driver’s license and insurable driving record.
