Job summary

The EADS Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support operations at the Somerset, PA Office. You will work independently and with other engineers, architects, and technicians to deliver electrical solutions for private and public sectors.

Electrical Engineer, Somerset, PA Office

Job Summary: The EADS Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support our operations located in our Somerset, PA Office. The successful candidate will work independently but closely with other engineering disciplines along with Professional Engineers, Architects and Technicians to support them from an electrical standpoint. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and providing electrical solutions for a number of sectors, including both private and public. Work tasks include engineering calculations, design, drawing preparation, cost estimating, proposal preparation, and client interaction including attendance at client meetings and onsite construction visits to monitor progress. Some travel within central and western Pennsylvania and Maryland is to be expected.

Here's what you'll need:

• Candidate must have an accredited Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent degree
• Experience in designing electrical systems for buildings

Here's what we'd like to see:

• Applicants should have project management experience and be familiar with proposal writing, and scheduling.
• A working knowledge of building codes, building power and lighting design, specifications, and cost estimating is desired
• Licensure as a Professional Engineer is preferred, but not required provided the candidate is on the path to licensure
