Job summary

Proception Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and validate electrical systems for advanced robotics platforms in Mountain View, CA.

You will own motor control, power delivery, sensor integration, and real-time communication within tight constraints, collaborating with mechanical and software teams to bring robotic systems to life. The role emphasizes ownership of projects, hands-on PCB design, and contribution to architecture decisions in a high-impact environment backed by leading

Qualifications

• Solid EE fundamentals with hands-on PCBAs experience.
• Power electronics sizing, protection design, and identifying failure modes.
• Experience with high-speed interfaces (PCIe, USB, MIPI, Ethernet).
• Motor controller design experience (gate drivers, BLDC topologies).
• Familiarity with EMI/EMC mitigation and thermal-aware layout.
• Schematic and layout design proficiency.
• Experience with Flex PCB design.
• Experience using LTspice, Python, and MATLAB.

Responsibilities

• Design and validate PCBAs for compute boards, camera electronics, power distribution boards, battery management systems, sensing boards, and motor controllers.
• Support board bring-up, system debugging, and diagnostics across the full embedded stack.
• Support system integration and testing.
• Contribute to overall architecture decisions.
• Work closely with mechanical and software teams to validate electrical designs in real robotic systems.
