Job summary

Ndimensions Labs is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to own the design, prototyping, testing, and production of custom electronics for robotic platforms in Boston. You will collaborate with hardware, firmware, and AI teams to bring board designs from concept to production-ready systems.

The ideal candidate has 4–5 years in electrical engineering with strong PCB design, multi‑layer board experience, and hands-on test and validation capabilities.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of professional experience in electrical engineering, focused on custom PCB design and development.
• Proven experience designing multi‑layer PCBs for mixed‑signal, power, and high‑speed digital applications.
• Strong proficiency with PCB CAD tools (Altium Designer, KiCad, Eagle).
• Hands‑on board bring-up, testing, validation using lab equipment.
• Experience managing production pipelines with contract manufacturers, BOMs, and quality control.
• Solid understanding of power electronics, analog/digital design, and embedded interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN).
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop custom PCBs for robotics applications, including power systems, sensor interfaces, motor drivers, and communication buses.
• Own the full board design lifecycle: schematic capture, layout, prototyping, bring-up, and validation.
• Use CAD tools to create production-quality designs with proper DFM considerations.
• Develop and execute test plans for electrical subsystems, including functional testing and signal integrity analysis.
• Manage transition from prototype to production, including vendor coordination and BOM management.
• Collaborate with mechanical and firmware teams for seamless integration.
• Troubleshoot and debug electrical issues across the full stack.
