Job summary

HRL Laboratories, an IBM company, is seeking engineers to contribute to RF and millimeter-wave subsystem development. You will work with scientists and engineers to develop state-of-the-art RF subsystems for communication, radar and sensing applications.

The role requires a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience and familiarity with Python, C and MATLAB. Simulink is a plus, with strong teamwork and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties

Required Qualifications

• Master's Degree or Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years of experience
• Some experience with modeling and simulating electronic components, RF electronics and circuits is desired.
• Experience with different families of FPGAs, DSPs, or microcontrollers is desired.
• A working familiarity with Python, C and MATLAB. Simulink is a plus.
• Understanding of basic circuit theory, electromagnetics, and digital signal processing.
• Familiarity with RF and high-speed digital test equipment.
• Working knowledge of RF components for communication and radar systems is a plus.
• Applicant must be able to interact professionally with program managers, co-workers, customers
• Ability to operate complex electronic equipment
• Perform detailed analyses of integrated circuits and prepare written and oral presentations.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.

Physical Requirements

• Proficiency in use of computers, engineering workstations, complex electronic equipment, oral and written communication, interaction with vendors/colleagues and willingness to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.
• Ability and willingness to travel 20% of time.

Special Requirements

• U.S. Citizen is required.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance desired.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay Range: $105,700 - $132,200
