Job description

Salary Range:

$120,506 - $150,000

Job Title: Electrical Engineer (RF, HW/SW Design)

The Electrical Engineer (RF, HW/SW Design) will be tasked with designing, developing, troubleshooting, maintaining, testing, and upgrading electronic circuit cards.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Design and develop RF-based Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) for RF applications.
2. Troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade, and test CCAs.
3. Write and debug firmware for new products.
4. Integrate CCAs into VME backplanes.
5. Design multi-layer CCAs using PCB design tools.
6. Integrate VME-based CCAs into complex real-time systems for RF simulation and modeling.
7. Test and troubleshoot electronic circuits.

Required Skills:

• U.S. citizenship is required due to customer-related sensitivities.
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline with 12+ years of relevant experience.
• 12+ years in design and development of RF-based digital/analog hardware and software.
• 10+ years of experience with board design for RF analysis and modulation.
• 10+ years of experience troubleshooting, maintaining, upgrading, and testing existing electronic circuit cards.
• 10+ years of experience designing new electronic Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs).
• 10+ years of experience with digital and analog circuit design.
• 10+ years of experience working with real-time embedded systems.
• Eligibility to obtain a security clearance.

Desired Skills:

• MSEE degree and 10+ years of experience.
• Experience with FPGA design and digital signal processing.
• Experience with board design supporting RF analysis and modulation.
• Experience utilizing RF laboratory test equipment such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, power meters, and network analyzers.
