Industrial Scientific is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer, Wireless/RF/EMC, to lead electrical and wireless outcomes for new product development. You will define architectures, drive verification, and ensure regulatory readiness across cross-functional teams in our Western Pennsylvania facility.

The role requires a strong background in RF, EMI/EMC, mixed-signal systems, and battery-powered electronics, with a focus on robust design, documentation, and certification support.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience developing electrical hardware products.
• Experience with wireless, RF, mixed-signal, or EMC-sensitive electronic systems.
• Experience defining requirements, verification approaches, and technical documentation.
• Experience with PCB design, electrical architecture, component selection, and system integration.
• Experience identifying and resolving RF, EMC/EMI, SI, PI, or wireless coexistence issues.

• Experience supporting products through design, validation, and release.

• Define and decompose system, electrical, wireless, and regulatory requirements into robust product architectures and technical solutions.

We partner with a dedicated in-house application software team to provide feature-rich web-based applications that help our customers keep their workers safe.The Staff Electrical Engineer, Wireless/RF/EMC, is a project-level technical leader responsible for the electrical and wireless technical outcomes of new product development and platform initiatives. The role leads the definition, architecture, integration, verification, and certification readiness of wireless and mixed-signal electrical systems, with particular emphasis on RF performance, antenna integration, wireless coexistence, signal and power integrity, and EMC/EMI risk.This engineer translates product and business needs into electrical and wireless technical strategies, aligns cross-functional teams on interfaces and technical risks, and drives evidence-based decisions from concept through production release. The position may serve as the Electrical Technical Lead or Functional Lead for a project, coordinating the work of multiple engineers and external partners without direct people-management responsibility.
