Industrial Scientific seeks a highly skilled HQA Manager to lead hardware testing and validation across the product lifecycle. You will guide cross-functional teams, ensuring comprehensive test plans, reliable results, and adherence to agency approvals (UL, CSA, ATEX, IEC, MSHA).

Experience in electronics packaging testing, data-driven problem solving, and mentoring technicians is essential for advancing our industry-leading gas detection solutions.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree from an accredited engineering college or university or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in hardware life cycle testing and validation.
  • Progressive experience managing testing and validation processes.
  • Experience with laboratory equipment such as thermal chambers, gas detection equipment and scopes.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute processes for testing component and system level specifications and requirements.
  • Lead team to troubleshoot new or legacy products with a data-driven approach.
  • Ensure testing to meet reliability and serviceability requirements throughout the product life span.
  • Create, update, and maintain HQA process and procedural documentation.
  • Travel to customer locations to resolve issues and collect Voice of Customer (less than 10%).

This person acts as a hands-on manager to ensure testing and validation projects are thoroughly tested to replicate potential in-field exposure in the required time frame while maintaining the highest quality standards. This role works with a cross-functional team to test and validate past, current and future industrial safety products and solutions.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:This position is responsible for managing processes and teams to develop detailed testing plans and protocols throughout the product development lifecycle. This position will also be involved in the sustaining, VAVE, and quality improvement of ISC legacy products.
