Job summary

Synectics Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer with 1–3 years of experience to join a dynamic team in Schaumburg, IL.

You will test and evaluate sub-circuit designs on base radio communication products, collaborating with software, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers to ensure designs meet specifications. You will read schematics, review PCB layouts, operate bench instruments, and translate requirements into design specs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in electrical engineering, specifically testing and evaluating radio communication products.
• Strong understanding of digital circuits and sub-circuit components.
• Experience operating bench power supplies, oscilloscopes, and other test instruments to validate designs.
• Digital subcircuit-level design experience required.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work efficiently in a team environment and adapt to diverse technical challenges.
• Python experience required.
• Proficient at reading and following schematics.
• Proficient at navigating Printed Circuit Board layout.
• Proficient at in-circuit measurements.
• Proficient at using lab bench equipment such as power supply, multimeters, and oscilloscope.
• Strong knowledge of fundamental electrical circuits and digital board design.
• Comfortable with soldering.
• Python & C.

Responsibilities

• Test and evaluate sub-circuit-level designs on base radio communication products.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers.
• Evaluate and certify digital subcircuit-level designs for functionality and specs.
• Read schematics and conduct PCB layout reviews.
• Operate bench instruments to validate designs.
• Translate product requirements into design specifications.
• Communicate clearly with team members and stakeholders on project objectives.
• Assist in completing certification test plans for various products.
• Investigate and resolve design issues.
• Assist certification on RF Site Infra products.
• Evaluate PCB changes for material changes.
• Assist maintenance activities for current shipping products.
