What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop relay settings and protection philosophies for distribution equipment
- Review protection and control design packages
- Provide remote field support to relay test engineers during installation of settings
- Model electrical systems using power simulation programs such as CAPE, ASPEN & CYME
- Create thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, and documentation
What is Required (Qualifications):
- BS in Engineering, preferably electrical or computer engineering
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience developing relay settings for transmission or distribution equipment
- At least 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering theories and principles
- Ability to work remotely without supervision
- Strong organizational skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Advanced user of Microsoft products, specifically Excel, Word, and/or Access
- Experience with developing settings for Schweitzer relays
- Ability to plan and manage assignments effectively
- Initiative to embrace continuous learning and expertise in relevant programs and technology
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
