California Institute of Technology seeks an Electrical Engineer to design, build, and test digital, RF, and drive control electronics for the DSA-2000 radio telescope project. The role supports the Infrastructure subsystem through final design to construction and is based in Ely, Nevada.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science, or equivalent experience.
• 5 yrs experience designing, building, and testing digital, RF, and drive control electronics.
• 5 yrs experience managing electronics technicians.

Responsibilities

• Manage deployment, commissioning, and maintenance of digital, RF and drive control electronics.
• Manage a team of electronics technicians.
• Develop test procedures. Develop procedures for repairing and tracking failures.
• Contribute to the design of instrumentation upgrades.
