Intuitive Machines, LLC seeks a Communication Systems Engineer to assist in defining test requirements, executing RF system tests, and evaluating payload performance throughout the program lifecycle.
You will gain hands‑on experience with spacecraft payload integration and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to verify RF communications against design specifications.
The Communication Systems Engineer (CSE) supports the development, integration, and testing of the communications subsystem throughout the program lifecycle. Working under the guidance of more senior engineers, this role contributes to the definition of test requirements, execution of RF system tests, and evaluation of payload performance against design specifications. The position provides hands‑on experience with spacecraft payload integration activities and offers exposure to multidisciplinary engineering teams. The Communication Systems Engineer assists in routine analysis, documentation, and troubleshooting tasks, helping ensure the technical integrity and successful verification of the RF communication subsystem. This role requires foundational knowledge of RF engineering principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a structured engineering environment.
Scope & Supervision Receives clearly defined assignments with regular supervision Works on problems of moderate scope, requiring analysis of identifiable factors such as cost, quality, reliability, manufacturability, schedule impact, and process improvement Exercises judgment within established procedures and engineering practices May participate in Engineering Review Boards May provide functional guidance to less experienced technical personnel Must be willing to travel up to 10% and support off‑shift or overtime work as needed.
The base pay for this position within California is: $94,000.00 - $156,000.00 annually. For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, health and welfare insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees.
