Job summary

Caldera Medical is seeking an R&D Electrical Engineer to own the electrical design for two product lines, including the wearable Gynesis platform. You will work in a small, collaborative R&D team with ownership and visible impact on design decisions.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years of hands-on electrical engineering experience in the medical device field, familiarity with IEC 60601 and FDA design controls, and a track record of collaborating with external design partners to deliver robust,

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–7 years of hands-on electrical engineering experience; medical device experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with external design partners or vendors on component-level design.
• Experience with design improvement (DFM/VAVE) and electrical V&V.
• NMES/electrostimulation or wearable electronics experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with IEC 60601, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and FDA design controls is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead component-level electrical design for new product development, partnering with external engineering resources to bring it to market.
• Drive design improvements and design-for-manufacturing initiatives on an in-market product.
• Define and coordinate electrical interfaces across connectors, boards, and components.
• Collaborate with Systems and Mechanical Engineering on cross-functional design decisions.
• Own electrical verification and validation (V&V) planning and execution.
• Support design documentation, risk management, and IEC 60601 safety and EMC testing.
