Job Posting – Electrical Engineer / Project Manager, Cohoes/Albany, NY

Pay Range: $130,000.00-$140,000.00 Annually

Purpose and Main Priorities of the Role

Fedrigoni Special Papers North America is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer with Project Management experience to join our team in Cohoes/Albany, NY. Reporting directly to the VP of Supply Chain and Engineering, this role will play a critical part in executing capital projects and technical initiatives requiring electrical expertise in a high-impact manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with Operations, Maintenance, and other internal stakeholders to support ongoing plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Actively support production and maintenance teams in resolving electrical and control system issues, minimizing downtime, and ensuring system reliability.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to maintenance and engineering teams in electrical design, troubleshooting, and project execution.
• Lead and manage capital expenditure projects from concept through execution, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Develop and maintain detailed project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
• Review and validate technical documentation, including electrical schematics, specifications, and equipment layouts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Operations, Finance, Procurement, and Maintenance—to align project objectives and drive progress.
• Present detailed project updates, business cases, and risk assessments to the management team; implement contingency strategies where necessary.
• Conduct and facilitate project governance meetings to provide status updates and gain alignment with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects involving equipment rebuilds, retrofits, and new installations.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (with strong expertise in Controls and/or Power Systems).
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues in a high-speed manufacturing setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical content effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Strong time management and organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Self-starter with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset, and a strong sense of collaboration and teamwork.

Selection Process
