Job summary

Targa Resources is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, evaluate, and support electrical systems for midstream facilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams, develop specifications, reviews, and studies, and assist with budgeting, scheduling, and commissioning to keep facilities safe, reliable, and efficient.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering from a 4-year accredited university.
• Knowledge of NFPA, NEC, and API standards and regulations.
• Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Specify and select electrical equipment for operations and complex projects.
• Prepare technical bids and evaluate proposals.
• Analyze electrical system designs including power distribution and control systems.
• Review utility contracts with outside vendors.
• Develop and review short circuit and relay coordination studies.
• Provide technical reports and consultations.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and process safety requirements.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and manage budgets and schedules.
