Job summary

Shermco Industries is seeking an Electrical Engineer- Power Studies. Location: Minooka, IL. Full-time on-site with travel possible. USD 85,000.00 - 120,000.00 per year.

Responsibilities include short-circuit, protective device coordination, arc-flash studies and power quality analysis for domestic and international projects. Requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 2+ years' experience; familiarity with SKM/ETAP/EZPower is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in power studies.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering design, analysis and studies for domestic or international projects.
• Conduct short-circuit, protective device coordination and arc-flash studies.
• Perform power factor analysis, harmonic modeling and grounding analysis.
• Interact with customers to gather information and review engineering plans.
• Occasionally work in the field on shut-downs, startups and maintenance.
