Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer for Power Generation in the East Region. You will join the Power Generation department as a developing engineer on a range of projects, contributing to design, analysis and documentation.

You’ll engage in teamwork across disciplines and gain exposure to client-focused delivery. Hybrid work options may be offered after the first 90 days, with relocation eligibility for candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• Pre-employment onboarding requirements may include background checks, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search.

Responsibilities

• Develops familiarity with departmental design guides, standards, systems and policies.
• Supports continuous improvement and change management efforts.
• Contributes to preparation of engineering deliverables such as drawings, reports, specifications, and studies of limited scope.
• Performs routine research and makes recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection.
• Collects, assimilates, and manages data for engineering work.
• Prepares basic engineering calculations following standard methods.
• Adheres to budget, schedule and quality requirements.
• Shares information with others and coordinates with project leadership when directed.
• Supports client focus and may assist business development or pursuit activities.
• Shares current knowledge of latest technology and processes.
