Job summary

MoonShot is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design power distribution systems for UL891 switchboards, UL67 panelboards, and UL508A assemblies, supporting AI and data center infrastructure.

You will apply power system expertise, review schematics, and advise on component selection, ensuring safety, reliability, and manufacturability in collaboration with mechanical, controls, and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience with power distribution equipment (switchboards, panelboards, transformers).
• Working knowledge of UL891, UL508A, UL67, NEC requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams and power schematics.
• Familiarity with control circuits in UL-listed assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering input for UL891 switchboards, UL67 panelboards, UL508A control panels.
• Interpret UL and NEC standards to ensure design compliance throughout the lifecycle.
• Guide busbar sizing, routing, insulation, and material selection per UL requirements.
• Review one-line diagrams and power schematics for accurate system representation.
• Support component selection (breakers, fuses, transformers) for UL compliance.
• Collaborate with controls engineers to integrate control circuits with power equipment.
• Support manufacturing during fabrication, testing, and field feedback.
• Contribute to internal standards and best practices for power distribution equipment.
