Job summary

Varex Imaging Corporation in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, develop, modify and evaluate electronic parts and systems for our manufacturing environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with 5 years of related experience, or a Master’s with 3 years, plus 4+ years PLC programming (Siemens/Honeywell) and PCB layout experience. You will support production equipment uptime and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and 5 years of related experience or Master’s Degree with 3 years of related experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• 4+ years of PLC programming experience; preferred experience in Siemens and Honeywell controls.
• 4+ years of experience in PCB layout, control systems.
• 2+ years of experience in High Power Distribution, Equipment Electrical Harnessing.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and validate production control equipment.
• Oversee the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
• Maintain current records on equipment manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades and safety issues.
• Study equipment performance and reliability.
• Establish programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process.
• Provide technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations.
• Define and write preventative maintenance schedules.
