Job summary

Workforce Solutions is seeking a licensed Electrical Engineer (PE) in Greenville, SC to lead the design of electrical systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities. This role offers a path toward ownership as a Partner and involves direct client interaction, project leadership, and mentorship of junior staff.

You will oversee power distribution, lighting, and low‑voltage designs, perform load calculations, and ensure compliance with NEC/IEEE/NFPA.

Qualifications

• Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Electrical Engineering.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET‑accredited program preferred).
• Proven experience designing electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution, lighting, and low‑voltage systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Strong understanding of NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and applicable electrical codes.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and project teams.
• Experience leading projects and coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of commercial, industrial, and institutional electrical systems.
• Develop power distribution, lighting, and low‑voltage system designs.
• Perform electrical load calculations, short‑circuit studies, and coordination studies.
• Create and review single‑line diagrams, panel schedules, specifications, and construction documents.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and structural engineering teams on multidisciplinary projects.
• Conduct site visits, inspections, and provide construction‑phase support.
• Review contractor submittals and assist with project commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, NFPA, and local code requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Contribute to the continued growth and expansion of the firm's electrical engineering practice.
