Job summary

Jacobs in Los Angeles seeks a senior electrical design engineer to lead building and infrastructure electrical design efforts, review calculations and construction documents, and deliver technical reports.

You will coordinate with clients and multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior engineers, support project delivery, conduct site visits, and contribute to client relationships and business development. This role requires a PE or path to CA PE within six months.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, a Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain California PE within six months.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience.
• Building electrical design experience with knowledge of applicable codes.
• Proficiency with industry design software and strong communication and coordination skills.

Coordinate with clients and multidisciplinary teams, support project delivery and construction administration, conduct site visits, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to client relationships and business development.

Requirements

• Requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, a Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain a California PE through reciprocity within six months, and at least 10 years of relevant experience.
• Candidates should have building electrical design experience, knowledge of applicable codes, proficiency with industry design software, and strong communication and coordination skills.
• California PE licensure, team leadership, relevant market experience, and LEED or sustainable design experience are preferred.
