Job Title: ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
Manage available resources of the electrical and instrumentation department and request additional resources as needed to meet client needs. Assist with hiring additional E&I employees as needed and manage their workload and professional development. Provide electrical and instrumentation engineering services and lead design team members for a variety of clients. Clients will include midstream oil and gas, industrial, and commercial sectors. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and construction personnel. Provide engineering services for the full lifecycle of projects, from conceptual planning to construction completion.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead electrical engineering and instrumentation design for various clients.
- Develop design and construction documents, including electrical site drawings, MCC layout, lighting, generator installation, switchgear, transformers, building electrical, site grounding, panel schedules, loop diagrams, and one-line diagrams.
- Contribute to the development of P&ID’s and instrumentation.
- Create scope packages for PLC controls vendors and coordinate during engineering, programming, and fabrication stages.
- Coordinate with civil, mechanical, structural, and architectural teams.
- Work with in-house construction teams on EPC projects.
- Contribute to project execution plans with the project manager.
- Ensure cost, customer service, quality, schedule, and safety are incorporated from start to finish.
- Support capital projects from technology selection to design packages.
- Address construction questions and issues.
- Assist with start-up as needed.
- Engage in best practices, engineering guidelines, and internal procedures; stay informed of industry developments.
Candidate requirements:
- Minimum 10+ years of electrical engineering experience.
- Experience with various project types; familiarity with architectural projects is a plus.
- Licensed electrical engineer in Oklahoma, in good standing, with no disciplinary actions.
- Strong planning, leadership, organization, and communication skills.
- Proven project success in cost, customer satisfaction, quality, and schedule.
- Basic AutoCAD skills; proficiency preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office; SharePoint skills a plus.
