Job summary

Neuron Industries (YC S26) in Gardena, CA is seeking an experienced hardware engineer to design and own industrial electronics and compute boards from architecture through bring-up and manufacturing handoff.

You will collaborate with firmware and software teams, design for harsh industrial conditions, and leverage AI tools to accelerate hardware engineering while maintaining high reliability and manufacturability. The role requires hands-on lab work and end-to-end ownership of hardware projects.

Qualifications

• Deep electrical engineering fundamentals and experience taking new electronics from concept through production.
• Ownership of technical architecture and execution for hardware projects.
• Proficiency with Altium Designer; hands-on lab debugging; AI-assisted engineering experience is a plus.

Job description

Design and own industrial electronics and compute boards from architecture and schematic through layout, prototyping, bring-up, validation, testing, and manufacturing handoff. Collaborate with firmware and software teams, design for harsh industrial conditions, support manufacturing yield and test processes, and use AI tools to accelerate hardware engineering.

Requirements: The role requires deep electrical engineering fundamentals, experience taking new electronics from concept through production, and prior ownership of technical architecture and execution. Candidates should be proficient with Altium Designer, capable of hands-on lab debugging, and comfortable using AI in engineering work; industrial automation, manufacturing, SoC/FPGA, and high-reliability design experience are advantageous.
