Job summary

Exponent Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer or Computer Scientist for the Computer, Data & Security Sciences Practice in New York, NY.

You will join a team delivering technical services across physical and software/data analysis for clients from startups to Fortune 100 companies. You will combine computer science principles with data-driven techniques and investigative analysis to implement high-value solutions while collaborating with managers, engineers, legal staff, and business leaders.

Qualifications

Understanding of investigative analysis for troubleshooting technical issues and solving technical challenges.
Experience with at least one common programming language such as Python, C/C++, Java, MATLAB, or similar.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills; ability to work independently or in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Perform engineering and computer science analyses related to ongoing Exponent work.
Use deep expertise in physics, electrical engineering, or a related field to develop solutions to technical problems.
Perform numerical analysis, modeling, and simulation to support engineering goals.
Perform reliability and failure analysis for electrical/electronic and computer systems and networks.
Present technical results and solutions to diverse audiences via verbal, written, and interactive communication.
Prepare technical proposals, pursue business development, and expand software-related services.
