Job summary

FFE Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Cincinnati team. You’ll develop electrical designs, produce construction documents, and ensure code compliance across healthcare and public-sector projects.

Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to deliver high-performing designs while growing your expertise in BIM, CAD, and energy-efficient practices.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience or two Co-Op sessions in Architecture, Engineering, and Construction.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit) and ability to learn other tools.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and processes.
  • Understanding of Schematic Design to Construction Documents.

Responsibilities

  • Developing detailed electrical designs and drawings from concept through construction documents.
  • Preparing design drawings, specifications, and supporting documents for engineering projects.

About the Job

FFE is seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer to join our growing Cincinnati-based team. You’ll develop electrical designs, produce design documents for construction, and ensure compliance with all applicable codes and standards. Working closely with architects, engineers, consultants, and clients, you’ll help deliver thoughtful, high-performing design solutions.

Here’s What You’ll Need (Basic Qualifications)
  • 1+ years of experience or two Co-Op sessions in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industry
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) and other relevant design tools; ability to learn other design software.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and processes.
  • Understanding of the purpose and content of Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Documents.
  • Knowledge of design process: calculations, written, graphic presentation.

This position's compensation pay range is expected to be between $70,000 and $86,000/year, depending on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, market factors, and business needs.

If hired, the position is “at-will. ” The company reserves the right to modify any component, plan, or program of the total rewards package at any time for any reason.

This position is performed in an office environment and potentially at a home office (with prior authorization from the supervisor); however, the individual is also required to travel to other locations for client meetings, project site visits, conferences, training, and other business-related events, and to the project site as needed.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, and sit; use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls; use fingers and hands to type or write; reach with hands and arms; operate a vehicle; and talk and hear. Must be capable of lifting and moving up to 20 lbs.
