Job summary

Elucent Medical seeks an Electrical Engineer to develop electronics for an electromagnetic positioning system within a regulatory medical-device context. You'll design schematics/board layouts, test and document outcomes, and contribute to a complete commercial surgical navigation product.

Responsibilities include prototype assembly, verification testing, and building pilot production while collaborating cross-functionally to ensure performance and compliance.

Qualifications

• Required: BA, BS, or Master’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Required: 3 years’ development experience in the medical device field
• Proven experience developing complete products
• Electrical systems development, troubleshooting, documentation, and testing experience in a regulated industry, medical device preferred
• Hands-on experience in electrical systems deployment to medical device targets
• Experience with electronics schematic capture and layout tools

Responsibilities

• Develop electronics for an electromagnetic positioning system.
• Deploy electronics as part of a project team to deliver a complete sellable surgical navigation product; design new and maintain existing schematics and boards, conduct testing and report results.
• Prototype assembly, evaluation and testing.
• Formal verification testing.
• Preparation of test protocols, reports and other documentation.
• Component qualifications.
• Build pilot and low-rate production EnVisio systems.
• Recommend improvements.
