Job summary

FirstEnergy Pennsylvania Electric Company seeks an Engineer to lead Long Term Infrastructure Improvement Plan (LTIIP) projects within PA Operations, improving reliability of Pennsylvania’s distribution systems. The role covers project scoping, analysis and budgeting across Met-Ed and Penelec service centers.

Requires a BS in Engineering (ABET preferred) with PE license a plus; 0-5 years experience; knowledge of NESC/NEC; and willingness to travel within the service territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution is required.
• PE license or advanced degree with ABET background is a plus.
• Minimum 0-5 years of engineering work experience is required.
• Knowledge of NESC/NEC and electrical safety standards is required.
• Experience with data analysis, reporting and cross-functional communication is needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead project selection and scoping of LTIIP projects to improve reliability.
• Develop and maintain multi-year plans to achieve reliability targets.
• Prepare budget estimates and schedules for LTIIP projects.
• Document requirements using OPPM, SAP and CREWS.
• Present reliability performance and regulatory reports.
