Job summary
FirstEnergy Corp. is seeking an engineer to join the Pennsylvania Capital Portfolio team, developing and managing a portfolio of capital projects across PA operating companies. The role supports Operations and Engineering, handling ad hoc requests and ensuring portfolio on time and budget.

Qualifications
- ABET-accredited BS in Engineering or Engineering Technology is required.
- PE license or a non-ABET degree plus an advanced degree in Engineering is acceptable.
- 0–5 engineering work experience is required; FE exam is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of electrical power systems and ability to learn new topics quickly.
- Strong writing and presentation skills; capable of clear technical reports.
Responsibilities
- Perform reliability analyses and prepare detailed reports for management.
- Investigate customer inquiries regarding service quality and reliability.
- Analyze potential distribution impacts of programs and projects.
- Prepare cost estimates, schedules and justifications for system improvements.
- Provide technical support for power quality studies and storm response.
