Job summary

ENGICON CM is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer to lead sustainability projects tied to the District’s Capital Construction Bond Program in Los Angeles. The role focuses on planning, design, construction, commissioning, and project management for bond-eligible capital improvements.

The ideal candidate has a BE/CE in Electrical Engineering, 10+ years of experience, and knowledge of California energy codes. Preferred LEED/CHPS experience and a PE license are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of professional electrical engineering experience in design, construction, or facilities infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of California Energy Codes, Title 24 Energy Code, NEC, Cal Green Code and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage sustainability projects for College construction bond operations.
• Implement electrification of central plants and building systems per policy.
• Apply Sustainable Building Principles to complex systems issues.
• Support energy master planning, carbon reduction, grid resiliency, and electrification initiatives.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to meet project requirements and timelines.
• Assist project teams with technical issues and peer reviews.
• Travel to project sites as needed during meetings and lifecycle phases.
