Job summary

Syska Hennessy Group in Boston, MA is seeking an Electrical Engineer (IV to Senior) to join our growing team. In this design role, you will represent Syska Hennessy Group and collaborate with the Internal Design team as well as external clients and consultants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an Accredited Institution.
• 7+ years of experience working in a consulting firm.
• Current PE registration, preferred; E.I.T./FE required.
• LEED AP, highly preferred
• REVIT and the latest version of AutoCAD MEP experience
• Proficient in design and calculation software.

Responsibilities

• Develop specifications, system narratives, and system layouts for a variety of projects of different sizes.
• Begin to establish system application, design, and operational parameters / sequences under the direction of the Senior on the project
• Participate in ensuring / Oversee QA/QC process for your work and the work of others
• Assist in ongoing determination of project scheduling requirements, manpower requirements, and project budgets
• Perform construction administration and field investigation tasks for assigned projects, including field inspections and detailed inspection reports
• Assist in processing RFI’s, Change Orders, Bulletins, and Addenda

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

PE registration preferred

EIT/FE required

Job Requirements

Successful candidates for the Electrical Engineer role should have the ability to use REVIT for system layout and spatial coordination of the production of detailed drawings. Someone who exhibits a basic understanding of the practical application of LEED principles to our building designs would be a good fit for this dynamic role.

Additional requirements include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an Accredited Institution
• 7+ years of experience working in a consulting firm
• Current PE registration, preferred; E.I.T./FE required.
• LEED AP, highly preferred
• History of working with projects such as Life Science, Higher Education, Healthcare, Commercial, and Mission Critical
• REVIT and the latest version of AutoCAD MEP experience
• Proficient in design and calculation software
