Job summary

Syska Hennessy Group in Atlanta, GA is seeking an Electrical Engineer II-III to join our design team. You will develop basic designs under supervision, prepare specifications, system narratives and layouts for varied projects, collaborating with internal and external clients.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, 1.5 to 7 years of consulting experience, and are EIT required with PE preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an Accredited Institution
  • 1.5+ - 7 years of experience in a consulting firm
  • Current PE registration, preferred; E.I.T. required
  • LEED AP, highly preferred
  • History of working with Federal, Healthcare, Commercial, and Mission Critical projects
  • REVIT and the latest version of AutoCAD MEP experience
  • Proficient in design and calculation software

Responsibilities

  • Creating basic designs under the direction of the Senior Engineer and/or Senior Designer
  • Developing specifications, system narratives, and system layouts for varied projects
  • Establishing system application, design, and operation parameters/sequences under supervision
  • Participating in QA/QC for your work and the team
  • Assisting in project scheduling, manpower requirements, and budgets
  • Performing construction administration and field investigations with reports
  • Assisting in processing RFIs, Change Orders, Bulletins, and Addenda

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer II - III to join our growing design team in our Atlanta, GA office. In this design role, you will represent Syska Hennessy Group and work in close contact and effectively interact with the Internal Design team as well as external clients and consultants. Individuals in this position must demonstrate the ability to progress from basic design work assignments to more complicated and involved projects working in conjunction with a technical team.

Job Responsibilities

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for creating basic designs under the direction of the Senior Engineer and/or Senior Designer. You will also develop specifications, system narratives, and system layouts for a variety of projects of different sizes.

  • Beginning to establish system application, design, and operational parameters / sequences under the direction of the Senior on the project
  • Participating in Ensure / Oversee QA/QC process for your work and the work of others
  • Assisting in the ongoing determination of project scheduling requirements, manpower requirements, and project budgets
  • Performing construction administration and field investigation tasks for assigned projects, including conducting field inspections and subsequent detailed inspection reports
  • Assisting in processing RFI's, Change Orders, Bulletins, and Addenda
Job Requirements

Successful candidates for the Electrical Engineer role should have the ability to use REVIT for system layout and spatial coordination of production of detailed drawings. Someone who exhibits a basic understanding of the practical application of LEED principals to our building designs would be a good fit for this dynamic role.

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an Accredited Institution
