DNJP20857 - Electrical Engineer IV for Liquid Natural Gas - Charlotte, NC - 3 years
ReNuke Services is seeking an Electrical Engineer IV for our client's Liquid Natural Gas site in Charlotte, NC!

Description:
*Full-time, hybrid, 3 days/week in the office*

Travel: 10-20% of the time, including overnight and day travel. Travel expenses will be reimbursed. CW will use their personal vehicle.

This position is part of the Facilities Engineering team within the Natural Gas Business Unit. The successful candidate will serve as the electrical engineering SME on large capital design projects.

Below are typical areas and tasks supporting NGBU facility projects, primarily involving design reviews and oversight of external engineering and construction contractors:

Electrical Layout and Design
• Facility layout development
• Existing and new buried utilities
• Underground conduit design
• Duct bank design
• Grounding and lightning protection design
• Cathodic protection design

Power Distribution Engineering
Must have working knowledge of:
• Medium Voltage Switchgear
• Low Voltage MCCs
• Medium and Low Voltage Transformers
• Panelboards
• Variable Frequency Drives
• Heat Trace
• Electrical Protection and Coordination for MV and LV power distribution
• Short circuit studies and Arc Flash Protection
• Medium and Low Voltage Cable design, installation, and termination methods
• Conduit seals for hazardous areas
• DC power systems, including batteries, chargers, inverters, and protective devices

Controls Engineering
• Switchgear and MCCs including standby generators and ATS
• PLCs for Analog and Digital controls
• RTUs and Modbus communications
• Process instrumentation including sensors, detectors, transmitters
• Network architecture

Utility Coordination
• Develop scope of supply with EPC
• Maintain utility schedule oversight
• Facilitate interface meetings
• Oversee field activities

System Integrator Coordination
• Develop scope for HMI/PLC
• Review EPC documents
• Support commissioning and documentation

Other Activities
• Develop scopes of work and specifications
• Support RFP development, bid evaluations, and Q&A
• Coordinate with organizations, consultants, and contractors
• Manage design changes and resolve issues
• Review design, procurement, and construction specifications
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance
• Conduct field walkdowns and review as-built documents
• Collaborate with Security and ensure scope adherence
• Schedule and budget management
• Develop policies, templates, and design guides for the NGBU.
