Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC is seeking a seasoned mechanical/ocean engineer to design and develop marine and electro-mechanical systems for demanding maritime environments. You will create detailed drawings, models, and documentation to support development, testing, and production.

The role requires hands-on experience with FEA, 3D CAD tools, and a track record across the product lifecycle. Extensive MK 18 equipment experience, including SLRS/SGLR systems, is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in mechanical or ocean engineering.
• Minimum 4 years designing hardware for marine environments.
• At least 2 years using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks/Solid Edge/Inventor).
• FEA experience for dynamic or complex systems.
• Minimum 10 years designing electro-mechanical systems across product lifecycle.
• Extensive MK 18 Support Equipment experience, including RHIB SLRS and SGLR systems.

Design and develop marine and electro-mechanical systems and support equipment for operation in demanding maritime environments.

Create detailed engineering designs, models, drawings, and documentation to support product development, testing, manufacturing, and fielding activities.

Perform engineering analysis, including finite element analysis (FEA), to evaluate structural integrity and dynamic performance of mechanical systems.

Support prototype development, integration, testing, validation, and production of marine hardware and launch/recovery systems.

Develop and maintain 3D CAD models, assemblies, and technical data packages using industry-standard design software.

Provide engineering support for MK 18 Support Equipment and launch and recovery systems, ensuring reliability, maintainability, and mission readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in the design, testing, production, and documentation of hardware intended for marine environments.
• At least 2 years of experience using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Inventor, or equivalent platforms.
• Demonstrated experience performing finite element analysis (FEA) for dynamic or structurally complex systems.
• Minimum 10 years of experience designing and developing electro-mechanical systems throughout the product lifecycle.
• Extensive experience supporting MK 18 Support Equipment, including at least 8 years of experience with the 11-meter RHIB Side Launch & Recovery System (SLRS) and Stern Gate Launch & Recovery (SGLR) systems.
